OK - I'm not an elite athlete or aspire to be one. I do aspire to exercise on a regular basis, but find I am the least motivating person I know. However, having an irrational fear of letting others down, if I have someone to run/walk/hike with, I am accountable and actually start to enjoy myself. Not to mention, the weight starts to creep off and then it's like I have a whole new wardrobe of stuff that actually fits properly. Stunning revelation, I know.

Anyway, I want to start a low-pressure, fun, neighborhood group who likes to walk/run/hike for any distance, any time they can. The Hedgepeth hills around 59th and Deer Valley, Arrowhead loop area, Paseo Park, Thunderbird Park - just a few places I've ventured and enjoyed.

So email me if interested, because then I'll be interested in getting my tush off the couch. Right now it's in the 100's, so I'm guessing either liesurely strolls or a pre-dawn hike or light run are what we can hope to acheive. Once we get in better shape and feel better - we can push it - or not. The end result is just being active and camaradarie. However if you are more the type that likes to just zone out to the MP3, that's fine too - I'm not one to force conversation - I just need a workout parole officer if you will.
