By the way, is anyone else having troubles saving there runs here on the site.  Every time I do I get an error message, but it still seems to save.  When you log a workout, does it add immediately or do you have to wait till the next day for it to show up?

Well, I am going to try this challenge out as well. I haven't been running because I prefer to run out of doors and I haven't been making my running a priority in my morning routine. Also, it seems like by the time I get home it is too late to run anyway.

I know i just gotta get out there and I hope this is the way to do it. Today i will run 3 miles....I hope.

OK - I kind of signed up for this unintentionally! I was trying to find out how to change the dates for the challenge to see if I could start it from today rather than 01/15 and ended up joining! I started running in the summer and did my first 5k race in November and havn't run since! Been finding it very difficult to get back into it so maybe this is the kick up the bum I need!! :-) Perhaps it wasn't so unintentional after all!

Still haven't worked out how to change the date so I best get running and put some miles on the clock to try and make up for the 3 days I have missed!

    Good luck everyone!

So does everyone start on the same day?

Or if you click on "sign up" does the challenge start that day?

How long do we have to start? Are we able to start off with smaller amounts and sign up in say, February? Or will this be over then? (Can you tell I'm out of shape?)

I just signed up for the challenge today. It is a real motivator for me. I had been logging my training for about a week so when I signed up it included the miles I had run from the 15th, pretty cool, so as of today I have just over 10 miles.

    Hi,

I thought that when you signed up it would change the challenge date but it didn't for me and it has the start date as the 01/15 although it does say in the description of the challenge that you can run any consecutive 30days! I am just going to try and make up the difference where I can - as jbjbuild says it is a great motivator! :-)

To Liquidskin - I don't have any trouble logging my runs.  They show up immediately - I never have to wait til the next day to see them.  Dunno... but I'm sure not having the probs you're describing.

I have been adding to my log in kilometers and it says after 2 runs I am 50% done because it thinks it is in miles not kilometers... any way to convert back and forth...Laughing

I have a question....Does climbing on a stair climber count towards the monthly total? I do my long runs on Sunday's and have over 65 miles this month already, but if we count the stair climber miles then I am up to 89.2 in January. I only do it to prevent my feet from falling apart while getting a good workout in. I guess my real question is for those who are doing all their miles outdoors...Will you consider me a cheat if 25% of my miles are on the stair climber?

oh yea... I am training for the Los Angeles marathon on March 3rd. preventing a foot injury is important this close to race day. and my 16 and 19 mile runs on sundays take some time to recover from and the stair climber is lower impact....But i still set it to level 11 out of 20. And better then 6 mph for an hour to an hour and 20 minutes...

First, good luck to everyone on the challenge. This is a great motivator and knowing that others are also working towards the same goal helps motivate me on those tough running days Wink

For those that are asking about the start date, I found that when I signed up, I was able to choose the start day of my challenge. This worked out well for me as I have been logging constant miles since 12/26. So for me, my challenge is running from 12/26 to 01/25.

By the way, does anyone know often the progress board is updated? I've hit my goal for the month, 114.21 with 2 days left Laughing, but the progress board only has me at 85.8% complete.

Again, good luck. 100 miles will be here before you know it.

I started this challenge today, my main goal is Rio de Janeiro Marathon.

I think I am completing this challenge in two or three weeks.

    Good luck to everyone.

And apologise my English, I'm not from a native English language country.

I have participated in this twice before.  This is my third.  The last time, I had broncitis and didn't finish.  This time I will.  LOL

For Connolly, my "miles" show up in KMS as I have my profile set to log everything in KMS rather than miles.  Being I am Canadian, that works for me.  Rather than walking 100 miles, I am walking 162 kms.  It's probably just the way you have it set to display, or your start date is prior to where you think it is.  Check your profile and see how it is set up.

I enjoy  power walking 1/2 marathons and this challenge is a great motivator for that.  I'm doing a 1/2 in London (Ontario) this weekend and one in Trenton (The Wingnut) on the 27th.  The challenge is a great way to ensure I keep up my training.

how do I log only my run miles? for some reason the program is adding my bike miles to my run miles throwing my total run miles off. Does the log not differentiate betwen run miles and "other" miles?
