Yesterday, I noticed that the mile pace calculation for my 4 mile run was 8:61. This got my attention, since of course 60 seconds is a mile, so this should be a 9:01. When I checked the calculation, it appears that I was actually running 8:32. This makes me think that the autocalculate on this site is set to 100 seconds a minute instead of 60. Am I right abou this, or am I missing something?

Unfortunately the pacing is in terms of fractions of 60 seconds rather than in seconds.

    8 minute 30 second pace = 8.5

    8 minute 10 second pace = 8.167

    8 minute 54 second pace = 8.9

All you need to do is multiply the number after the decimal place by 6 to figure out your pace in seconds.
