Hey guys im new to running and i found this website to map out a route for me and also just help motivating myself to continue trying to run. The thing is though guys last year i went through a bout of depression and gained about 60 pounds in the past year going from 230 lbs to 292 stopping excercise.

MY question is just starting out i ran a 1/2 a mile yesterday and i felt great but i woke up the next morning with a cramp and foot pain. is it normal to wake up with cramps? or is this just a part of me being new and my body never done anything like this before?

This is commen from people that try to do to much to soon! I started by walking with friends and our labs in the woods, when I came home not hurting I bought a treadmill and walked and then with an incline and now one year after I started walking with friends , I now run the trails with my lab and run on the treadmill with incline and I've even finished two 5K road races and so what I'm trying to tell you is pain is not good so start off slow and you'll see you'll feel great and you won't hert the next day. Herting yourself will only meen you'll have to stop to heel your aches and pains so start off slow and you'll get to where you want to be. Good luck.
