    Hi,

Does anyone have any shoe recommendations for a 6'2" guy who weighs 217, has high arches, and gets shin splints (anterior) often?  Thanks.

Amazing advice.  I'm sure glad I asked the question.

there is no magic shoe that people from an online community can say will work for you because we don't know your running/walking mechanics

does anyone have comments on nike free shoes? i am thinking about picking up a pair of those. i dont know if that is the right name for the model i am thinking about. they are really thin shoes, almost like close toed cloth-type flip flops / slippers, are in the 100 USD range.  would like to know if they are good in the long runs, if anyone has tried it.

I have a bought a couple of pairs of nike + shoes. The pedometer for the ipod really helps me out and keeps me motivated. The pegasus seems to be the best shoe type.

Has anyone ever had any luck with sending in your old shoes to RoadRunner Sports and letting them recommend new shoes for you based on how your old ones wore out? Do they even still do that?
