I have a Garmin Edge 305 and used to be able to save a route then export it as a crs. Where has this feature gone?

If I create a new ride an option to export to GPS appears under Save. However, it tells me to Save first before export. I do this. Try export again - get same message, etc, etc. Pants

If I open a previously saved route I can't even get that far - just an option to update the route. No export features anywhere in sight.

From reading other threads it appears that some people can still get this to work but its stumped me.

I have always thought this was a great site but without the export feature it is of little use to me. I'm very surprised that the new site has been released apparently without testing whether this feature still works. Very frustrating

Apparently no comments to this question. But I have exactly the same problem. I cannot export to my forerunner 305 anymore. Very frustrating

Just found out: it works with Firefox, but not with my Explorer 7!

    Hi

I normaly use firefox. and i have no problems to export to my garmin device.  I just made a route in IE 7 saved it, open it again and exported it both as tcx and crs. I 've got two files. One called routename.crs.xml and one called routename.tcx.xml

Opening the files with notepad, however i didn't validate the xml, they seems correct to me except for the extention.

Currently  i don't have my forerunner connected, so i can't tell you if a direct export in IE works. But, if in a direct export  also an xml file will be exported instead of tcx or crs that could be the reason of the failure.

More websites which relies on heavy javascripts experience problems in IE7 with  not always/fully load all the necessary javascript on the right moment. That also can be a problem. So i agree with Martin: use firefox.

if your problem keeps comming up, why don't you send a mail  to the MMR team, maybe they can work on a solution.
