    Hi guys, i'm fairly new to this running game, however i did play alot of hockey at uni. I signed up to run the London Marathon in April '09 but didnt specify a charity, thinking I could do it later.

     Im not sure what the chances are now of me getting in and also the process of then choosing a charity to run for. Do you just call them up and ask to run for them?

     I thank anyone for any advice.

    Hi mate,

     Very unlikely you'll get in unless you do it through a charity, your best bet is to look on the marathon website and they'll give you links to the appropriate charities. You'll need to be raising around the £2,000 plus mark for most and if you don't meet it you have to cover the difference.
