So, I have tried on my first pair of Crocs. I have found that those shoes and sandals that are loved by many and are thought of as not too appealing by some are actually very comfortable! Whether you’re sliding them on after a run, ride, hike, triathlon, or walk, Crocs offer a comfort that is hard to find. For those that say, I would never wear those things, I urge you to give them to take a test drive. I was in the same boat until I tried on a pair for myself.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Crocs line of footwear has great comfort, support, and they have become much better with their styles. My personal favorite is the "off road" version, they seem to have a little more coverage to the toe box, keeping sand and stones out and still have most the benefits the originals have.

Although I thought crocs were just another fad, after talking with a few people, I found out that they have some great benefits. With Crocs located in Boulder, CO which is a meca for outdoor and athletic enthusiast, they have been able to get a real understanding for their active customers needs. The Crocs beach model puts up to 62% less pressure on your leg muscles, 7% less pressure on your skeleton while at the beach vs. barefoot, and they are ergonomically certified. Other benefits the Crocs line of footwear include; odor resistant, anti-Microbial for all of us bare footers, and are super lightweight which is great for travel. For many of us involved in an active lifestyle, this is exactly what we are looking for.

In the end, I come to say that I have found Crocs to be a great asset for after races, long rides, runs, hikes, etc. They may look odd to some, but they sure are comfortable!
