The following are tips to ensure the best possible performance of the iPhone apps, and will resolve most issues with the iPhone app including crashing, login problems, save problems, and other errors or difficulties with the apps.
Please attempt these steps before logging any ticket related to iPhone app.
1) Restart the phone and/or "hard close" the application. Often times, strange/inaccurate location and GPS behaviors are related to memory issues in the app or on the phone. A fresh start seems to help. (TIP: To hard close the application in iPhone, double tap the main button, then close the app using the red (-) button next to it.)

2) Turn off wifi. This will increase your battery life, and also prevent certain issues where GPS location is impacted by wifi. Check that you have a good network data connection by checking a web page in Safari before you proceed.
Be sure you are outside with a relatively unobstructed view. Being indoors, or near (especially tall) buildings, severely limits the effectiveness and accuracy of GPS.
2.5) Reset Location Warnings. Sometimes your iPhone gets into a state where it thinks you have denied iMapMy app access to GPS. To remedy this, now go to your iPhone Settings (not iMapMy settings) and go to General, then Reset, then Reset Location Warnings. This will simply reset location permissions and cause all apps to prompt you (once) for location. It's harmless, and is the default state your phone arrived in. You won't lose any data or anything.
3) Run the Google Maps application on the phone and wait until you get a good fix. The Maps applications are highly optimized by Google and Apple and have access to resources to get the quickest and most accurate location fix. Wait until you have a highly accurate circle (i.e. The light blue "accuracy circle" is either tiny, or gone). Next...
4) Run the iMapMyRUN or iMapMyRIDE or other iMapMY application.
5) Press "Record a Workout"
6) Wait until you get a nice Green light indicator on the Record a Workout > Map Screen
7) Click record
8) Have the best run, ride, or workout of your life!
9) Save when you are done. If you aren't positive you have a good network connection, wait to save until you do.
IF THIS STILL DOESN'T WORK
(i.e. You experience a crash or other problem while following these steps), let's try a more thorough option.
Don't worry, all your data will be securely synced from our servers.
1) Delete the app from your phone entirely.
2) Reinstall a fresh version from iTunes (you will NOT be charged again if you have the paid version)
3) Restart your phone
4) Ensure wifi is turned off completely.
5) Run the app.
6) Follow steps 3 and on from above.
If these tips don't help, let us know in this forum. It always helps if you include a link to the route or workout in question.
