Bike Ride Description
This is my regular ride to work.
Features: all paved, 2 and 4-lane roads.
Notes: Use the right turn lane and NOT the bike lane when turning from Lakemont to Glenridge. The pavement on General Reese is terrible, I use the neighborhood for a quiet interlude, but Winter Park Rd. is fine too. The washboard pavement on Virginia just east of 17-92 is brutal, and taking Nebraska to 17-92, then making a right at the green light on Virginia usually gives a long car-free gap on Virginia. Beware the longitudinal canyons between the lanes on S. Ivanhoe - you have to merge on a patch, or they will take you down.
