Full Description

Hello,

My name is Krstin, I am from Branford, Ct and I  am a new runner!  I teach physical education to middle school kids and I coach track (field events) I love working out and concentrate alot on resistance training.  I wanted to change things up a bit and start running again.  I have always used running to keep in shape but I just signed up for my first half marathon in Sarasota FL on March 2nd. The most I have ever run was a 5 mile race in 46 minutes. I just started my training this week and am running 3,3,4 and 5 mile runs this week. Any advice someone could give would be great.

I am trying to do my own research on different approaches and "safe" ways of training. I can already feel my shins acting up but I know my body will adapt quickly.

I am excited to get up to 7 and 8 miles, I think it will feel good.

Anyone training for a half marathon? Well hope I can get some good advice. Thanks so much!

Kristin from CT

Hello, My name is Corey. I am a new runner who just started running a few months ago to run in a relay at the San Diego Marathon. I ran 8 miles at a pace of 8:15 a mile, not bad for a new guy. I am training for a half marathon in Big Bear, CA. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions or tips to help train for this. I would like to be up to a full marathon by next March to run in the LA Marathon. I agree with Krstin, I hope I can get some good advice, thanks so much.
