Full Description
St. Joseph Bicycle Club Event- A slow paced family oriented ride. that will explore the Saint Joseph Hike and Bike Trails.� The ride will begin and end at Bartlett Park (corner of Monterey & Parkway). Start time is 9:30 AM on April 18, 2009. Registration begins at 9:00 AM.� The ride will have a roaming rest stop that will have snacks and cold water. Basic mechanical support will be provided (bicycle pump and patch kit).� The cost for this ride is $5, just enough to cover the cost of the snacks.� If you ever wanted to explore the Hike and Bike Trail but didn’t want to do it alone, now is the ideal time. We will ride as a group no riders will be left behind.� Helmets are required.� This year we will ride the Eastern and Northern Legs. The route will start at Bartlett Park go South on the trail to 28th Street & Parkway, then East to Riverside, where the roaming rest stop will meet us with refreshments. We will then head back to 28th Street & Parkway, the roaming rest stop will meet us there and we will head North on the trail towards Corby Pond Park. The roaming rest stop will meet us at Corby Pond, we will then ride North towards Krug Park. The roaming rest stop will meet us at the Northern entrance to the trail. The final leg will be back to Bartlett Park. Total mileage is approximately 20 miles. Comments |
