What a great idea! 2 days in and already at 13%. I haven't ridden this much since I was training for a 5-mile bike tour back in June!

I feel great. I have been riding so much that my bike has been in the shop 4 times during this challenge. This was a great challenge. I'm going to try 400 mile next month.

Really new to this site 300m in 30 days is a brilliant idea! 2 Days in and im 12% done but broke a pedal last night so will have to stop off at halfords on the way home!!!

Great program that allows me to track my rides and mileage. 300 miles per month is easy during the good weather months. It'll be interesting to try and keep up that pace during the cold and rainy seasons when the days become much shorter.

Three days to go and only at 200 miles! Just logged 23 miles. Guess I'll have to go out tonight to make it to 33. Thank God for the bank holiday weekend - I can use Monday to complete just in time. Nothing like cutting it fine!
(Probably shouldn't have taken the running challenge as well - but I do like a challenge!)

300 miles in 16 days, did not think that I could do this. 500 miles is going to be a breaze as long as the rain stays away.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
Finished with 7 days left. Missed a whole weekend of riding due to Air Force Reserve training, but still finished with time left. Gonna try the 500 mile challenge now.

Just started the 300/30 challenge. Road 21.15 miles today. I plan to log 40 tommorrow. This shouldn't be too tough. I have been logging around 100 miles/week. LiveStrong all

Pretty good challenge... did it with 9 days to spare which only puts me 5th ! So guess i am going to have to do it again...

Three hundred miles in thirty days....whew... Well, I guess I did three hundred miles in twenty days 'cause I've still got ten days to go... And d*mn...I only made it to second place. Oh well, there's always the next thirty days...

@newtomass The goals are only updated every night :(
I just completed my goal today with 9 days left. Very excited, but you can imagine how hard it was for it to update tonight!!
Good job on your progress so far.

Only 9 days in and 51% completed (with todays lunchtime ride). Think I need to go to a different challenge. :)
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
Newtomass, verify that all of the information is input including start and end times. It didn't count some of mine originally because I didn't have the start and end times. Also, try clicking on update progress. That is all the help I can offer.

I have entered my workout 3 times and it still is listing me as no progress on my goal. Can anyone help me resolve this as it is showing on my training log?
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
so all I have to do is record my training on my iphone to add miles to this goal? This is my first challenge, just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

I wish imap worked with my balckberry for verizon, guess I will end up getting a GPS for the bike.

I am starting the challenge, did 12 yesterday doing 50 today, getting ready for a 100 in Sept, down in GA.

I just finished my 300 this mourning with 2 days left to go. It feels pretty good but I'd say that this challenge helped condition my cardio-respiratory system to where I belong as a cyclist.

kcbibo, odds are that what happened is you passed the 300 mile mark after 25 days, you got credited for the trophy, and you now have to join a 'new' challenge. That's happened to me every time I've done the 300 miles: I hit the mark before 30 days, and then I have to start the challenge again. You can set the start date to any day you want, as long as the 30 days after haven't passed yet; the 30 days don't have to be the same as the calendar month.

I was cut off after only 25 days?

Just completed the challenge and feeling a nice buzz. Time for the victory dinner of a PBJ and milk.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
I did it - completed the 300 with 3 days left in the month and I skipped 5 days - so I'm feeling pretty good.

I've lost most of my workouts I map my ride on my I phone couldn't load them on to the server it keep sending me error messages! Rubish not happpy! Otherwise good program!

I am a few days new with this site and I think its great. I am working on the 300 miles at 25 percent finished already. The trick I figured out to get your ride to show up right away on your challenge progress is to enter it first under Update Progress under the challenge page, than go to the calender page and click on the new workout (the one you just entered). Edit, go though the steps (you can give more details like heart-rate, mood etc)then save it. go back to the challenge page and it should show new p

I have 61 miles to go and 7 days left to accomplish my 300. My legs are feeling it but my overall sense of well-being is through the roof. I went running yesterday for the first time since the challenge and my pace was 2 min/mile faster over a five mile run!

Just log your training rides by saving a route, then adding it to your training log. The challenge only updates once a day, so you have to wait until the next day to see your progress updated.

how do you log the miles you've done into the progress thing on the challenge??

Finally! Way ahead of schedule even tho I did 1/3 of it on the trainer. Hope I can make it out the to hills a bit more this coming week.
Gluck all on doing this challenge. It's not that hard, just keep riding. New challenge is 500miles in 30days.

I finally made it to the top 10! After tomorrow's 30 miler, I'll be done. I think I'm going to try the 500 miles in 30 days next. Any one up for a race?

great challenge! so glad i'm done :) i'll probably do it again in a few months.

Seems l am a late comer to this challenge. I have no qualms updating my workout (Garmin 50). I just upload it to Garmin Connect, export it back to my computer and upload it from my computer to update my progress. Because my challenge is on a spinner, l have to edit type of activity and distance covered.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
For anyone not getting their stats updated, I figured out why mine weren't so you could have the same issue.
When you automatically upload from a device (I have an Edge), the General Type of Workout is not populated. You have to then edit the workout and select a Type of Workout from the drop down box. This by default clears the Activity Detail so you have to repopulate that. Save the changes and the totals on this challenge will be updated.

Whatever was wrong that made the rides not post is fixed. THANK YOU! it's a great site.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
It seems like rides that are uploaded directly from a device are not included in the total. What's the difference between those and the others?

Great challenge to do with a friend!
Sometimes it does take a couple of days for mileage to post, but if you are patient it will show up. in the mean time go ahead and do some math. :) it's good for the brain!
thanks for this challenge. loving it! a climbing challenge would be AWESOME! Good idea goridemnts!

I've been considering upgrading my membership, but I'm still not clear on the advantage.

I'm having the same issue with the miles not updating my challenge. This could be fun but so far not so much.

This is a great challenge. I really like it. Has anybody else had any issues with the mileage not updating?

Love this challenge. A quick question before I sign up. How do i log my miles? I keep track off them on another on-line site. Do i have to go and map every ride to get credit for the miles? Thanks "DustyWheels"

I love this challenge....and I love this site.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
I really like this challenge. The hard part for me is the variables that happen during a month, like getting sick, vacation, etc... I find myself behind in my goal because I missed 7 days because of sickness. Fun goal though that I will get one day!
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
I love the site and the challenge. However, since March my challenge totals have not reflected my workout totals. For example, I just rode 15.67 on May 1 but it is not listed on my challenge at all. I used to have instant access and it would be correct. I love the site and will continue to use it. I just thought you should know about problems that I am experiencing. Thank you.

I really like this challenge as it fits well into my spring training, but must balance it with the usual Ohio spring weather.

I'm enjoying this goal so far, even though I got a flu bug right after I started it, and yesterday was the first time in a week that I've been on my bike. Now that it's nice outside, I'm going to log several 20+ mile days to play "catch up".
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
I suggest (optionally) taking out the alerts when entering a ride each day, I get tired of clicking the two alert boxes when I log my commute and just want to save now - it would be really good to just have a button that I could click saying 'yes, I rode to work today' or something.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
cool... I will check it out. Three more things... my goals chart does not reflect the same number of miles as "My Training Log", I was once listed in the leaderboard, but now I am not... and another feature that i would like to track are the weather conditions; temperature, sunny or rain... wind, snow... now I will shut me piehole and clean my chain.

I did go back and try to create my own goal and it worked. I set up a 500 miles in 30 days challenge. I'm not sure if it's listed publicly, but if so everyone is welcome to use it. If not, is there a way to set it up to be public so others can use it without having to go through the steps to creating their own?
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
I vote for 500 miles and 750 miles in 30 days also!!! Those of us who ride often can hit 300 very quickly.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
the "create your own goal" page does NOT let you create anything. You can only choose a new goal from a premade list.
There are other goals I want to go after using this feature (30 miles three times twice per week plus 20 miles one time per week), but it can't be done.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
musekidd - thanks for the suggestion. Please feel free to make use of the "create goal" functionality we recently released just for this reason! Check it out - create you own goal now. You start using one of our pre-configured goals, but once created, you are free to modify the goal to whatever you want. You could even create a "Cycle 6,000 Miles in a Year".
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
It would be nice to have the challenge option of 500 miles in 30 days as well as 750 miles in thirty days!

I want to quit Cycle 300 Miles in 30 Days. I have subscribed it wrongly, because I seldom cycle. I walk 4 times a week 6.5 km in 60 minutes. How to quit that challenge?

The goal progress updates automatically every night (around midnight). I just checked your account and it appears that you are no longer at 0%.

parmy and pwntpwn -
We have recently just updated the system to hopefully take care of this issue. What I would suggest you do is the following: Click on "Your Preferences", scroll to the bottom and click on "Quit" - this will delete the old / wrong goal value - now you should be able to sign up for the same goal using the same start / end dates, and once you re-sign up, the goal value should be correctly set to the KM equivelant of 300 miles (IE 483km).
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
KWellborn -
You are correct in the fact that the last day of the goal is counted as a day. Any workouts through the 18th should count towards this goal.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
Any ideas why I've got no progress after entering two rides?? my legs know I've done them!! so do my lungs and heart!
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
If I get a progress report that says I have 8 days left and the report is dated Jan. 11, 2009. Does this mean I can ride my last miles on the 19th or does the 11th count as one day and there for my last day to record miles is the 18th? The first day to record a ride was Dec. 20, 2008.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
Yeah I would like answer to the 300km Question also? I would like the satisfaction of knowing I completed the same as everyone else.
Alternatively I will set my goal as 483km which is the 300mile equivelant.
View User Profile | Report Offensive Content
If my profile default is KM it only tracks up to 300 km. Can this be changed so that everyone does the 300 mile challenge rather than having to change my profile?
